I'm heading out tomorrow morning for a trip to VA to play some trumpet and make some money. For the first time in my life, I'm flying First Class (I didn't buy the ticket). I'll let all you suckers back in steerage know how the service is up front.

Don't get your hopes up, it's nothing like the printed instructions. It's only "better" because of the proximity to people who are jealous of you...

enjoy it. first class is THE WAY TO TRAVEL. I got to fly in first on the company nickel a few jobs back. first class w/ a layover was cheaper than direct cattle car, so they put me up front w/ the swells

Got upgraded to first class while traveling on orders. Wearing uniform and such. Felt so awkward, I eventually ended up changing back to civvies in the lav just so people would stop looking.

But yes it was awesome. Free fresh(ish) cookies every 15 minutes. Fresh cut fruit. Free drinks anytime. Huge comfy seats. The more attractive staff. You know, how flying should be for everyone.

You'll love it!

My wife and I got upgraded to 1st class on our honeymoon. We had some questions about what last name she should use. They called us back and gave us new tickets. I didn't really understand why and they said look at the seats, and was like DAMN!!!!!!! Its nice up there!
